Our regular checking account is a non-interest bearing account.  Statements will be produced on a monthly basis.  It is a service charge free account with no minimum balance required.  Checking account fees for all account types will be assessed when applicable.

Super NOW
Our Super NOW accounts require a minimum balance of one thousand dollars ($1000.00) for the entire statement period.  If the account goes below the minimum balance, a monthly service charge plus a per debit item on statement charge will be assessed.  Statements will be produced on a monthly basis.

Your interest rate and annual percentage yield may change.  At our discretion, we may change the interest rate on your account daily.

We use the daily balance method to calculate the interest on your account.  This method applies a daily periodic rate to the principal in the account each day.  Interest begins to accrue on the business day you deposit noncash items (for example, checks) unless given specific notice.  This notice may be given on a case-by-case basis at time of deposit.  Interest is compounded and credited to your account monthly.  Checking account fees for all account types will be assessed when applicable.

Debit Card
With a Farmers & Merchants Bank of Kendall debit card there is no longer a need to carry cash or checks.  You can sign for purchases, just like a credit card, at major retailers, specialty shops, restaurants, fast food locations, and more!  When you make a transaction, the purchase amount comes out of your checking account and appears on your checking account statement.  Your debit card can also be used at ATMs for cash withdrawals.

Our debit cards are based on limits, which means when conducting a transaction, the balance on your account will not be looked at when the transaction is made.  The system will only look at the dollar limit in place for your debit card.  This means a transaction has the potential to overdraw your account if sufficient funds are not available at the time it is made.  A monthly debit card fee may be assessed.  For more information on this, please refer to our EFT and Debit Cards Agreement.
